A group of British companies and organisations have agreed to work together to developer lighter batteries with a longer range. The group includes mining company Glencore, battery start-up Britishvolt, chemical giant Johnson Matthey, and Oxford University. Read more on The Guardian.

A new trial has been launched in Nottingham this week to refuel battery powered taxis via wireless charging. The technology had previously been tested in Coventry to charge taxis that were waiting for customers. Read more.
